Ubuntu Global Festival 2018
‘Ubuntu’ – a South African word meaning that all our identities and humanity are interlinked and should be respected
The Ubuntu Festival of World Traditions 2018 is a free family event celebrating world cultures represented in our local communities.
The festival will encompass a number of activities including workshops, arts and crafts and exhibitions of different cultures in the Guildhall and live music and performances outside in Guildhall Street.
The festival is devoted to pursuing the ideals of a global community through active engagement with the diverse range of thoughts and cultural experience which reflect our Diverse City and the values of all our people.
Audiences will be encouraged to participate in the range of activities from Polish, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Spanish, Polish and Russian communities.
