The World’s number 1 Halloween destination is set to take celebrations Out of this World in 2016, to mark the festival’s 30th birthday.

As Samhain opens the doorways to the Other World, the city throws a welcome party like no other as supernatural beings and the souls of the dead flood into the city of bones!

Take yourself and the family Out of this World as the city’s streets and cultural venues host a world class programme of food, markets, music, theatre, children’s events, street animation, costume making, storytelling, tours and trails & all together spooky happenings!

The atmosphere builds throughout the weekend as locals across the city decorate their homes, businesses and venues. A mass metamorphosis sees locals and visitors alike shapeshift with weird and wonderful costume creations to take to the streets on All Hallow’s Eve!

Into the Square & Out of this World! 29th - 31st October

Live Music, International Street Theatre, Speciality Markets on the city’s Guildhall Square from morning to night!

Awakening the Walls 29th and 30th October

The City’s historic Walls give up their ghosts as over two evenings light, fire, sculpture, music and performance rouse the Walls awake in a supernatural animation trail on and around the City Walls.

The largest Halloween street carnival and costume party in Europe!

Little Horror’s Halloween Festival 27th - 31st October

A unique programme of interactive theatre, storytelling, film and music for children and young people.

Trick or Treat! 27th - 31st October

Local chefs and food suppliers celebrate the harvest and take your senses Out of this World with speciality markets, food and drink trails, interactive food tasters and demonstrations celebrating local produce.

The Apple Fair – 29th October

Start a new Harvest tradition with your family! The small Village of Castlederg continues to host an age old tradition which sees the apple growers from County Armagh appear from early morning to sell their wares. With entertainment, innovative cooking and beverage making demonstrations from some of Ireland’s top suppliers and chefs, the fair is a celebration of the area’s history and culture with a unique seasonal atmosphere and local charm.
