Mayor’s Tea Dances
The Mayor’s Tea Dances are an opportunity for the First Citizen to meet members of the public and enjoy a chat and dance over a cup of tea or coffee and a sweet treat.
Live music and refreshments are provided to everyone who attends the Tea Dances.
Admission is free however pre-registration with the Mayor’s office is necessary and attendees can make a donation to the Mayor’s Charity.
The current Mayor Cllr Grace Uí Niallais has announced an exciting programme of themed tea dances during her term with all proceeds supporting her chosen charity, Hive Cancer Support.
The schedule of tea dances during 26/27 are as follows:
- Wednesday, 02 September, in the Guildhall, Derry.
- Halloween themed Tea Dance on Monday 26 October in the Guildhall, Derry.
- Christmas Tea Dance on Wednesday 02 December in the Guildhall, Derry.
- Christmas Tea Dance on Tuesday 15 December in Strabane, (Further details on venue to be made available closer to the time).
- Finale Tea Dance on Wednesday 12 May at the Guildhall, Derry.
The Mayoral Tea Dances are an excellent way for people of all ages to come together to enjoy live music and dancing and have fun while also supporting the Mayor's chosen charity, Hive Cancer Support. The Tea Dances are free however those attending will be encouraged to make a donation.
