DLD Second Line Parade
Date: 4 May 2024
Venue: Departs from Castle Street @1pm, Castle St, Derry
Second Line Parade Route: (short route) - Meet on Castle Street at 12:45 with stepping off at 13:00 - Down Waterloo Street to Strand Road - Down Strand Road to make a right on Great James Street - Go past City Hotel, wave at the people watching - Round the round-a-bout - Come up Custom House Street and finish near the Guildhall Square. * Make sure to stick around for the jam of the bands right after the parade finishing right before 14:00.
Calling all musicians, dancers, hip shakers and jazz makers! Second Line NI is back this year with our annual DLD Second Line Jazz Parade! We’re kicking the heels up with a beautiful core of amazing bands joining us from all over.
Meeting Point: Castle Street • Ending Point: Waterloo Place
Bring your instruments, umbrellas and fancy threads to join us in celebrating how much jazz means to us all. This year we’re starting in a new spot for a stretch of the legs. Meet us at the Diamond so we can strut it down Shipquay in style! All ages and instruments are welcome.
