Christmas Grant Scheme

The Mourne Derg and Glenelly (MDG) Christmas Grant Application Form is used to apply for financial support from Derry City and Strabane District Council.

The grant was established to support rural businesses in the lead up to the Christmas period as per the Mourne Derg and Glenelly Action Plan.

The grant, up to a maximum of £250 is currently available to any business ONLY within the Sperrin and Derg DEA’s.  Please note that businesses within the Strabane Town Centre are NOT eligible to apply for this grant.

This is a competitive scheme and applications will be assessed on merit.

Organisations will be expected to make efforts to maximise income and footfall to their business over the Christmas Period through:

Shop Front / Christmas Window Dressing

In House Christmas Competition

Christmas Social Media Campaign

Ads in Press

Other initiatives will also be considered.
