Public Buildings

Council civic offices and public buildings
Council's Civic Offices in Strand Road, Derry and Derry Road, Strabane are open to the public with restrictions.
Screens have been erected and the public will be asked to sanitise on entering and leaving the buildings and adhere to an in-house management system and strict social distancing guidance.
The public are being encouraged to use Council's online systems where possible or to contact Council by phone at 028 71 253253 or by email at [email protected].
 
The Harbour House remains open for staff and elected members only.
 
The Guildhall has reopened to the public with opening hours of Monday to Friday 9am-8pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6pm.
 
The Tower Museum has reopened to the public from 9am to 5.30pm daily.
 
The Alley Theatre in Strabane has reopened to the public with opening hours of Monday to Friday from 10am to 4.30pm.
 
Council meetings
All Council meetings are currently being held virtually in line with Government advice and can be viewed online via the Council's YouTube channel.  The full list of meetings can be found at http://meetings.derrycityandstrabanedistrict.com/mgCalendarMonthView.aspx?XXR=0&M=9&DD=2020&ACT=Go
All Council committee meetings and Full Council meetings will continue to take place in a virtual setting – they can be viewed live on the Council's YouTube channel. 
 
Mayor's Office
The Mayor, Cllr Brian Tierney, is available for online meetings and events, and small public meetings and events, and is keen to engage with the public. The Mayor can be contacted via his office at [email protected].

Leisure Centres 
The following Derry City and Strabane District Council Leisure Centres are open - the Foyle Arena, Templemore Sports Complex, Riversdale Leisure Centre, Melvin Sports Complex and Derg Valley Leisure Centre (excluding the Main Hall which remains closed for maintenance.) 
We are now taking online bookings for indoor exercise classes- please note that classes will have reduced numbers in keeping with the regulations – to book a place please visit our website at www.derrystrabaneleisure.com
For those wishing to book household swimming sessions please book by calling the leisure centre reception as we are unable at the current time to take online bookings. Members can book 7 days in advance and casual users can book one day in advance.
Leisure reception teams are available for all queries and bookings. Queries can also be emailed through to [email protected]
