Council civic offices and public buildings – Council's Civic Offices in Strand Road, Derry and Derry Road, Strabane are open to the public with restrictions. Screens have been erected and the public will be asked to sanitise on entering and leaving the buildings and adhere to an in-house management system and strict social distancing guidance. The public are being encouraged to use Council's online systems where possible or to contact Council by phone at 📞028 71 253253 or by email at [email protected].
The Harbour House remains open for staff and elected members only.
The Guildhall is currently closed to the public in line with the current restrictions announced by the NI Executive.
The Tower Museum is currently closed to the public in line with the current restrictions announced by the NI Executive.
The Alley Theatre in Strabane is currently closed to the public in line with the current restrictions announced by the NI Executive.
Council meetings –All Council meetings are currently being held virtually in line with Government advice and can be viewed online via the Council's YouTube channel. Derry City and Strabane District Council Leisure Centres remain closed to the public in line with the latest Executive restrictions. The Foyle Arena building remains open for Covid vaccinations only.
Council is currently reviewing the updated guidance announced by the NI Executive this week indicating that gyms and swimming pools can reopen for individual use only from 30 April. Further information on the reopening plans will be provided in the coming days.
Please note that Council is currently working towards the indicative dates provided by the NI Executive of 24 May for the reopening of Council owned indoor visitor attractions. Details to follow as soon as they are available.
