‘Kids Cinema Day’ at the Alley to show comedy adventure ‘Rio’

30 April 2018

Children will have lots of fun this Bank Holiday weekend at the Alley Theatre in Strabane with the ‘Kids Cinema Day’ on Saturday 5th May and the showing of animated comedy adventure ‘Rio’.

Starting at 2pm the movie centres on Blu, a flightless macaw who acts more human than bird. When Blu, the last of his kind, discovers there’s another – and that she’s a she – he embarks on an amazing adventure to magical Rio. There, he meets Jewel and a menagerie of vivid characters who helps him fulfill his dream and learn to fly!

Venue Manager Jacqui Doherty said: “Families are invited to come along this Saturday for a fun-filled afternoon with treats and a movie.  Rio is a brilliant comedy full of colourful characters, music and adventure.  Tickets are £3 available online or at the box office.

“This Spring / Summer season we have lots of children’s entertainment – including ‘Tom Thumb’ on 16th May, Cahoots NI Theatre Company with ‘Danny Carmo’s Mathematical Mysteries’ on 6th June, ‘Snoozle and the Lullabugs’ – a rockabilly / rockabye show for under 5’s with PMLD/SLD on Saturday 7th June, furry fun & songs with ‘Woofle’ on Saturday 23rd June and Tom Sweeney will be here on 11th August with ‘Teddy Bear’s Sing-A-Long’!”

Tickets for ‘Rio’ and all the Spring / Summer events are available from the Alley Theatre Box Office on 028 71 384444 or online www.alley-theatre.com
