‘Spooktacular’ Sleepy Hollow panto opens Halloween weekend at the Alley

20 October 2017

What better way to celebrate Halloween weekend than by attending the Arts Academy’s latest pantomime ‘Sleepy Hollow’ from Thursday 26th to Saturday 28th October at the Alley Theatre, Strabane.

After the huge success of 'Gutz', 'Mulan', 'Spook House' and the wonderful 'Balo Balo'... the Arts Academy team draw upon their considerable experience to produce the ‘spooktacular’ Sleepy Hollow – the classic tale as you have never seen it before!

David Oliver from the Arts Academy said: “The show is directed by Eileen Mc Garrigle and we are taken back in time to New England at the turn of the century to find that the local school needs yet again a new headmaster!...apparently they just can't seem to hold on to any teachers for very long. Is it the people of the village? The poor behaviour of the pupils? Or is there something more at work? Perhaps those strange sounds at night and unexplained happenings hint at something a little more sinister!

“What is guaranteed is that during the course of this superbly entertaining tale we will certainly get to the bottom of it! From troublesome kids to suspicious villagers this is a journey filled with atmosphere, songs and no shortage of laughs.  The talented cast are local and of all ages – music is by myself and Gerry Strawbridge and chorography is by Cat McGinty. Rehearsals have been going brilliantly and we can’t wait until the curtain goes up and its show time. Check out the theme song and video for the show ‘Little Make Believe’ on the Arts Academy and Alley Theatre Facebook pages. This will be the perfect start to Halloween weekend, a show full of Halloween fun fit for all the family! So come along in your scariest Halloween costumes and enjoy the show.”

Sleepy Hollow will take place on Thursday 26th, Friday 27th & Saturday 28th October 2017 at 7.30pm – with a matinee performance on Saturday 28th at 2pm.

Tickets are £9, £7 (con) with family rates also available.  To book visit the Alley Theatre website on 028 71 384444 or online www.alley-theatre.com
