Access and Inclusion arrangements for Strabane Halloween celebrations

Derry City and Strabane District Council have confirmed some adjustments and additions to the 2019 Strabane Halloween Festival to ensure that as many people as possible can have access to and be included in the celebrations.
The Halloween programme climaxes this Thursday October 31st with the Strabane Halloween Market from 11am to 4pm, Halloween Fun at The Alley Theatre from 12pm to 4pm and the Spooktacular Fireworks and Circle of Terror at the Melvin Sports Complex from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
A Quiet Space Provision has been set aside at the Strabane Health Improvement Project on Ballycolman Road where a quiet space and seating is available for those who require it between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
Booking is not necessary for the quiet space however you can reserve a space by contacting Caolan Harkin at Caolan.harkin@derrystrabane.com or calling 028 71 253 253, Ext 6986.
Accessible parking is available at the bottom of the Ballycolman Estate in front of the Running Track and in Upper Main Street Carpark in the Townsend of Strabane with spaces allocated on a first come first served basis.
Accessible access to the Fireworks / Circle of Terror is through the Ballycolman Estate entrance where Stewards and Security will be able to assist.
A disabled viewing area is available in the Main Viewing Zone in the Melvin Athletics Track.
The Circle of Terror starts at 6.30pm and will finished at 8.30pm, there are no steep hills but lighting is limited on site.
The fireworks start at 8.30pm and will last for 10 minutes, expect loud noise from fireworks and flashes.
Stewards and security staff have been briefed on disability awareness and are identified by high vis vests, if you need any direction they will be happy to help.
Relaxed programming at The Alley Theatre on the day includes a movie screening of Hotel Transylvania 3 – Monster Vacation at 11am and a Trick n Treat Trail at 3.45pm.
