Blame Game’s Colin Murphy’s brings his sell-out tour to Strabane
25 January 2019
Renowned Northern Irish comic Colin Murphy’s hit ‘Big Time’ tour is coming to Strabane’s Alley Theatre on Friday February 8th.
Fresh from another series of the popular BBC Northern Ireland favourite ‘The Blame Game’, Murphy is back on the road for a nationwide tour and has already performed to sold out crowds throughout the north.
Following the sell-out run of this 2018 ‘Bald Ambition’ Tour, he’ll be doing what he does best and peeling away the layers of what makes us the way we are.
‘‘I’m trying to think of a way of talking about Brexit without talking about Brexit, because people are sick to the back teeth of talking about it - and I’m sick talking about it on The Blame Game,” he says.
“But it’s going to have to be in the tour, if it happens at all.
“The news is changing day to day, so we’ve no idea what’s going on.”
Colin started out his stand-up career as a compere at the Queen’s University Belfast Queen’s Comedy Club Night, and subsequently began touring venues across the world from Montreal to Melbourne, and Beijing to Ballybofey.
In 1998 he featured in the cult classic Divorcing Jack, followed by appearances on RTE’s The Panel.
HE has also developed programmes for RTE, including hosting and co-writing the surreal clip show Blizzard of Odd and the mockumentary series, The Unbelievable Truth.#
Big Time is another chance to see one of the country’s biggest names in comedy as weekly panelist on BBC NI’s The Blame Game, producing and starring in his hilarious documentary series Colin Murphy’s Panic Room.
