Public Consultation on Site-specific Policy Representations

The Planning (Local Development Plan) Regulations (NI) 2015

Notice is hereby given that Derry City and Strabane District Council will make available for inspection, the representations received to the Local Development Plan draft Plan Strategy, in accordance with Regulation 17 of the Planning (Local Development Plan) Regulations (NI) 2015.

In accordance with Regulation 18 of the above Regulations, a counter-representation may be made about any site-specific policy representation (defined as those that seek change by adding a site-specific policy, or altering or deleting any site specific policy contained in the Draft Plan Strategy). Therefore, each counter-representation must relate to a site-specific policy representation and quote its reference number and must not propose any change to the Draft Plan Strategy document.

The representations will be available for inspection from Friday 27th November 2020 for a period of 8 weeks until close of consultation on Friday 22nd January 2021. (Please note that some of the representations were previously advertised and made available for inspection in March 2020. However, due to the COVID 19 outbreak, that consultation period was cancelled.)

Where to view the Representations:

Representations to the LDP draft Plan Strategy will be available for inspection on the Council’s website at: http://www.derrystrabane.com/Subsites/LDP/Local-Development-Plan. They will also be available for inspection during normal office opening hours, strictly by appointment only due to COVID 19 restrictions, from Friday 27th November 2020, at the Council’s two main offices at

98 Strand Road, Derry, BT48 7NN and

47 Derry Road, Strabane, Tyrone, BT82 8DY.

How to respond:

A Counter Representation Form will be available to download from the Council’s website, along with guidance on what constitutes a counter representation. Counter representations can be submitted by email to LDP@DerryStrabane.com or in writing to the address below:

Any counter representations should be received no later than Friday 22nd January 2021. Counter representations received after this time may not be considered.
