Foyle College hit the right notes at Organ Festival

The Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Councillor Maoliosa McHugh pictured presenting Brenda O'Somochain (Head of Music) at Foyle College, with the Organ Festival Schools Competition award. The school won the award as part of a competition which ran during the Guildhall’s first Organ Festival which took place last weekend, featuring a packed programme of schools workshops, lunchtime recitals, and evening concerts with some of the best local and international musicians. Local children had the opportunity to learn more about organ music and to try their hand at playing.
The school will receive an Organ and Subsidised Tuition Fees, courtesy of Viscount Organs.
