14 November 2019

Please find attached a selection of images from the Ireland North West delegation’s trade mission to the US this week, taking in Philadelphia and Boston and promoting the business interests of the region.

The delegation, which is made up of civic leaders, officials and education institutions, first visited Pennsylvania’s largest city exploring opportunities for business and educational partnerships.

Led by Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Councillor Michaela Boyle and An Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council Cllr. Nicholas Crossan, the delegation met the Mayor of Philadelphia Senator Jim Kenney where gifts were exchanged and officials showcased the North West region as a prime location for investment.

Speaking at the meeting the Philadelphia Mayor Senator Jim Kenney said it was a great honor to meet with Mayor Boyle and Mayor Crossan and pledged his commitment to continued cooperation between the regions.
