Kids ‘Unleash your Superhero Alter Ego and Horror Creativity’ at the Alley this Halloween

23 October 2017

Kids if you love your superheroes and horror stories you do not want to miss these two fabulous workshops in the Alley Theatre over the Halloween break designed for children aged 9 years old and over.

If you fancy yourself as a creative writer come along to a taster workshop on Thursday 2nd November on suspense writing based on Anthony Horowitz and others.  Under the direction of Ink Wing Academy you will develop your own descriptive suspense thriller through a fun filled workshop.  Anthony Horowitz is one of the most prolific and successful writers working in the UK. He has written over 40 books including the bestselling teen spy series Alex Rider which has sold 19 million copies worldwide, Oblivion, the epic conclusion to the Power of Five series, Diamond Brothers Series and of course Horowitz Horror Books.  So come along and take part in an enjoyable and engaging day – you never know you could be the next Anthony Horowitz! The Horowitz Horror Stories Workshop will take place from 10am–3pm on Thursday 2nd November and is suitable for 9 years and over. Cost £10.

Also on the same day for all you superhero fans is an art workshop – also for children aged 9 years old or over.  Which superhero did you always fancy being? Which superhero would best reflect your personality?  Over two days on Thursday 2nd November and Friday 3rd November you will create your own personalised 3D superhero wall art for your bedroom.  Under the direction of George Doherty you will design and make your superhero using foam board on the first day and on the second day paint and decorate your final piece.  The workshop will take place from 10.30am–3.30pm and costs £20.
