The Alley Theatre is delighted to welcome the talented Marc Roberts to the stage this weekend as he pays tribute to one of the biggest names in music, John Denver.

In 1997 Marc gained international recognition when he represented Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest coming an impressive second with ‘Mysterious Woman’.

His first self-titled album was released and five albums followed - ‘Meet Me Half Way’, ‘Once in your Life’, 'The Promise'  ‘Now & Then’ and his current album 'A Tribute to the Music of John Denver’ which went to number one in the country iTunes Charts.

Marc’s tribute to one of the world’s greatest singer/songwriters has won him acclaim up and down the country, with its moving multimedia journey through John Denver's life and music.

He performs all the hits including 'Annie's Song', 'Leaving on a Jet Plane', 'Take Me Home Country Roads', 'Some Days are Diamonds', 'Calypso', 'Thank God I'm a Country Boy'....

The show has been a huge success here in Ireland, selling out theatres including the National Concert Hall, Dublin on two occasions, as well as touring in the UK, Germany, Australia, and Denver's home town Colorado.

Throughout his own music career Marc has worked with Daniel O'Donnell, co-writing and recording 15 songs and has had a top 20 hit in the UK singles charts. He was awarded four platinum discs, and has even co-presented three series of this TV show, 'Opry an Íuir', mentoring the guests, helping them to select their songs and producing the final product.
