Media Advisory and Accreditation details for Halloween celebrations in Derry and Strabane

25 October 2019

To facilitate media access to this year’s Halloween Festival, media are advised that in compliance with health and safety regulations that all photographers and broadcast media who intend to cover the Awakening the Walls from Monday October 28th to Wednesday October 30th and the Halloween Parade and Fireworks on Thursday October 31st are required to register their details in advance and wear high visibility media bibs.

Unfortunately this year we are no longer able to offer the 5th floor balcony of the Council Offices on the Strand Road as the building is being used as the event control centre. We would advise media to find their own alternative in this instance.

For the Halloween night parade and fireworks, any broadcast vehicles must be registered in advance by Monday 28th October at 6pm as we have limited spaces available in Foyle Street Car Park.

In order to secure a place you must provide details of the vehicle including registration.

Media bibs are available for collection at Derry City and Strabane District Council Offices, Strand Road, Derry.

MEDIA ACCREDITATION REQUIREMENTS

Applications must clearly indicate the following:

Applicant details:

1. Full name

2. Organisation being represented and specific role

3. Mobile telephone number
4. Email address

5 Details of and Broadcast Vehicle including registration number

If you are intending to cover Awakening the Walls Halloween Carnival Parade and Fireworks then you need to register in advance by Monday 28th October by filling out the above details by email to media@derrystrabane.com.
