Public invited to breakfast for One Path initiative launch

13 September 2019

Friday 13th September 2019

Members of the public are invited to a free breakfast at the Guild Café on Thursday to hear more about Derry City and Strabane District Council’s One Path initiative.

The campaign is based around how to get the best out of Derry and Strabane’s greenways and paths, and Thursday’s event will give the public the opportunity to seek practical guidance on path and greenway etiquette, with the aim of helping everyone to share, respect and enjoy these spaces together.

Whether you’re walking your dog or enjoy going out on a bike ride, One Path has handy tips on how to get the most out of the District’s greenways and paths for yourself and for others - with courtesy, consideration, observation and visibility just some of the key topics.

This is an initiative that is being run in conjunction with Sustrans, a charity whose work focuses on making it easier for people to walk and cycle.

With 80km of traffic free routes in the District, there is plenty for the public to enjoy and Thursday’s event will be a way to learn how to safely and respectfully share the space, while enjoying a bit of free breakfast!
