Release your digital potential at Derry~Strabane Enterprise Week

02 March 2017

Local businesses, entrepreneurs and those working in digital careers are being reminded that a free one day event full of digital advice and workshops will be coming to the Guildhall next week, Monday 6th March.

Virgin Media Business will open the Derry City and Strabane District Council Enterprise Week 2017 with a unique opportunity for seeking digital inspiration to learn from the best as its Director of Digital, Stephen Wind-Mozley shares his experiences and insights with a local audience and gives some advice on how to make the most of digital marketing opportunities for your business and career.

Two workshops will be staged at the event. A morning workshop with Stephen from 11.00am that will focus on the 7Cs of Digital Marketing. Describing himself as a digital advocate who loves using technology to solve business challenges and improve customer experiences, Stephen has worked on pioneering projects including the launch of Marks & Spencer’s first eCommerce site and BBC Worldwide’s first transactional video-on-demand service.

Tara Nicholas, Business Officer at Derry City and Strabane District Council said, ‘Stephen has been a founder, an investor, a mentor and a customer in retail, media, finance, telco and tech sectors. For the last 20 years, he has worked at identifying where customers and technology meet and examined how to make this connecting even better. We’re delighted to have someone of Stephen’s calibre on the programme to share insights with local businesses.’

Following the morning workshop there will be a light lunch with networking opportunities for those in attendance and an afternoon workshop that will look at ways how individuals and businesses can unlock their digital potential.

Beginning at 1.00pm, the afternoon workshop will be delivered by Virgin Media Business in partnership with The Digital Garage from Google. Set up as a digital skills training platform, this session will be delivered by a Google digital expert who will outline what is needed to gain a competitive advantage in the ever changing digital landscape.

The ‘Realise your Digital Potential’ workshop will take place in the Guildhall on Monday 6th March from 11.00am until 3.00pm.

This is a free event, to register go to www.derrystrabane.com/enterpriseweek.

Enterprise Week will take place in various locations throughout the city and district from Monday 6th March until Friday 10th March.
