Strabane businesses receive advice on Rural Business Investment Scheme

Businesses and entrepreneurs who attended todays Enterprise Week workshop on the Rural Business Investment Scheme at the Heritage Education Centre in Sion Mills.
The session was designed to provide information on potential funding opportunities available to rural businesses through the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, delivered by the Derry and Strabane Rural Partnership.
The Rural Business Investment Scheme provides grants to micro and small businesses with £2.5 million available for the Derry and Strabane area up to 2020. This funding includes marketing grants up to £10,000 and capital grants of between £5,000 and £90,000 depending on the size of business. The Rural Development Programme team will also be available on the day to provide details of marketing grants of up to £10,000 that are available through the Rural Business Investment Schemes.
All the events organised for the five day Enterprise Week programme are designed to help small businesses in the North West thrive and build closer relationships with customers and partners. Sponsored by Virgin Media Business, events centre on a number of topics to give support to local businesses and help them learn new skills. These include events on; female and social entrepreneurship, digital technology, innovation and food tourism.
