Learning Festival V5

The World’s First Virtual Learning City Festival July 2020
To mark the Derry City and Strabane Region recently achieving the UNESCO Learning City status, Council and its partners had planned a Learning Festival in May, but due to Covid-19 restrictions, we are now hosting the world's first Virtual Learning City Festival.
Derry City and Strabane District Council, along with co funders Ulster University and North West Regional College, are delighted to announce a Virtual Learning Festival on 1 & 2 July 2020.
The Learning Festival will offer the opportunity for everyone to learn new skills from the comfort of their own home! Topics of learning vary - from the art of origami, photography, growing your own food, artificial intelligence, plus a whole lot more in between. The full programme of over 50 events is now live.
Padraig Canavan, Chair of the Learning Cities Programme, said:
“ Whether you just dip into enhance the learning you love or open your mind by sampling all the free learning available, there is something for everyone in the global debut of a virtual Learning City festival.
