North West Angling Fair 2022




The North West Angling Fair returns on the Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd April 2022, 11am - 5pm each day.

In it's 5th year running, this years Angling Fair is back in Melvin Sports Complex, Melvin Road, Strabane, County Tyrone, which lies on banks of the Mourne River.

Fishing enthusiasts across the North West region are in for a real treat when one of the top angling fairs comes to Strabane. Bringing together a host of the UK's and Ireland's greatest fly-dressers, casters and top angling specialists to the spectacular setting of the River Mourne in the fishing heart of the North West. 

The event promises to be a fantastic occasion for anglers and fishing enthusiasts from across the region. They will have the opportunity to watch the best international fly fishing tackle producers, fly tying brands, fishing outfitters, professional casting demonstrations and expert fly fishing tuition. 

Free fly tying and fly-casting lesson with instruction tailored to the specific needs of from beginner through to advanced.

Community Angling Training & Coaching Hub

DCSDC and Loughs Agency are excited to bring a programme of angling training and coaching to the NW Angling Fair. This will be delivered by experienced and professional coaches from the Foyle River Catchment Outdoor Group CIC (FROG) who will be on-hand to train new, novice and experienced young anglers in game, coarse and sea angling. Short workshops will cover casting, fish identification, river invertebrates, bait, lures, fly tying and water safety and enable participants to achieve the CAST Angling Starter certificate. Free. Limited availability on a first come first served basis.
