Sean Deeney

My name is Sean Deeney, I’m a salmon fly dresser from Derry in Northern Ireland. I’ve been tying for around 12 years’ now, starting off watching you tube videos and progressed from there.

My passion is tying modern shrimp and hair wing and Scandinavian patterns putting my own personal touch and spin on them. I’ve tied at several fishing fairs including the Iris fly fair, Irish Spring Angling fair and the North West Angling Fair. Recently I was invited to become a pro team member for LTS fly-fishing, Partridge of Redditch, Lesonen Signature Materials and Raidzap which was a great honour for me personally.

I’ve been flyfishing for Atlantic Salmon, sea trout and brown trout for over thirty five years on the river’s of the Foyle system and the Lough’s and river’s in Donegal. My home river is the stunning Finn where I also guide for Glenmore Rivers.
