Community Centre Investment

Derry City & Strabane District Council have developed Strategic Local Growth Plans specifically for each electoral district in 2017 with the objective of enhancing the community through increased Health & Wellbeing and delivering greater opportunity for children and young people by 2022. Development of the community centre infrastructure is viewed as a major driver in achieving these objectives.

Currently the community centre programme has 7 no. ongoing projects within the 4 electoral districts of the city (total value £14million). There have also been various projects completed within the district to improve community facilities such as:
