Economy and Labour Market
In 2019, there were 5,260 VAT and/or PAYE registered businesses within the Derry City and Strabane District Council (DCSDC) area which, in turn, had helped provide a total of 58,200 employee jobs in 2018, an increase from 50,250 in 2013. In terms of agriculture specifically, in 2018 there were 1,771 farms within DCSDC being maintained by an agricultural labour force of 3,510.
