Domestic Garden Bonfires

Domestic garden bonfires or burning of waste from domestic properties can affect our environment and may cause a smoke nuisance to our neighbours. If Council is satisfied that the smoke is causing a nuisance it shall serve an Abatement Notice on the person responsible.

Each domestic property should have a blue recycling bin, a black wheelie bin and possibly a brown and food waste bin and which should provide sufficient capacity to hold the refuse for their family.  If you find that you do have excess waste please visit https://www.derrystrabane.com/recycling for information.
