The 1.5km route can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace as you make your way through the 400 year old Walled City. Experience a trail of 6 iconic locations which will become spectacular pieces of art, using a mix of audio-visual, digital media and outdoor projection to create a memorable experience for all the family.

Embark on the exploration of the city’s history and experience how the city was named, St Columba’s famous stories, such as healing people with diseases, expelling malignant spirits, subduing wild beasts, calming storms, and even returning the dead to life. Relive some of the scenes from the Siege Of Derry 1689 , learn of the city’s more recent history and how the city has been reimagined.

Locations include the 400 year old walls, the original Walled city gates, the iconic Guildhall and st. Columbs Cathedral.

While following the awe inspiring journey through the walled city follow an Illuminated Trail of Light which includes captivating displays created by local artists, a full programme of entertainment, performances, music, drama that will will re-imagine public spaces across the Walled city, showcasing the regions diverse arts and cultural offering.
