Book of Condolence for David Trimble

The Mayor of Derry and Strabane, Councillor Sandra Duffy, has opened a Book of Condolence today in the Guildhall and online in memory of the former First Minister and Ulster Unionist leader David Trimble.
Lord Trimble played a pivotal role in paving the way for peace, as one of the key architects of the Good Friday Agreement and used his influence to change attitudes and perceptions across communities.

He leaves behind him a legacy that will secure him a prominent position in the history of this place for many years to come.  Members of the public are invited to record any personal tributes in the book which will be on display in the Guildhall over the coming weeks, or to record their condolences online here.
