St Patrick's Day Parade
North West Carnival Initiative presents:
St Patrick’s Day Spring Carnival Parade ‘Recycle & Renewal'.
Friday 17th March | Departs Bishop St, 3pm
Famed for their fantastical and flamboyant carnival parades, the NWCI has stepped into Spring for this year’s Carnival parade in celebration of ‘Recycle & Renewal’.
Each year we welcome Spring, with its signs of new growth and new beginnings associated with the rise in temperature and brighter days. Our 2023 Spring Carnival parade will celebrate this with its theme of ‘Recycle & Renewal’ bringing to light a focus on conserving and harnessing the natural environment around us. Living in an increasingly ‘throw away’ society, has led to our ocean’s wildlife choking in plastic and the overuse of landfill sites.
Communities will come together in a parade which will use the main elements of nature;Fire, Air, Earth, Water to creatively highlight the significance of recycling and reusing, reducing waste and the positive impact this can have on our environment for future generations.
We invite you all to come and celebrate the artistry of our local communities on St Patrick’s Day, with an important message for 2023 but delivered full of fun and vibrancy…..
