Derry Strabane Enterprise Week is back for 2023!

Taking place at various locations across Derry & Strabane from 6th – 10th March 2023, the popular event, which has become a major highlight in the annual business calendar, offers a week-long programme of events supporting budding entrepreneurs and seasoned business owners alike.

Seeds of Change

Derry & Strabane has rich fabric that celebrates social, cultural and enterprise development.  The 2023 theme ‘Seeds of Change’ applauds the Micro-Businesses and SMEs in the North West that have grown with purpose, driven by superb management as well as business acumen in sustainability, digital technology, growth and innovation. 

Seeds of Change will explore the business lifecycle from ideation through to realisation, celebrating the experiences of business role models and offer peer networking opportunities, underpinned by the core themes of Innovation & Inclusion. 

Industry leaders will deliver keynote presentations, while panel discussions with high profile figures and local success stories will undoubtedly inspire all in attendance.  The 2023 programme is set to offer expert advice and host practical sessions from some of the country’s most admired industry leaders, all while celebrating the Northwest’s abundant business landscape. Meet the Buyer will provide the business community with the unique opportunity to increase sales, foster a deeper understanding of buying processes and create networking opportunities between SME’s and Public Sector/ Larger organisations.

the funding game: accessing business finance  

Tues 7th March 10am- 1pm

This event will aim to instil confidence and self-assurance when navigating the financial landscape, hearing from local SMEs with first-hand experience of processes and opportunities which could provide your business with the same chance of success. Find the right source of support for your businesses with advice on funding models and opportunities including Commercial Debt, and Equity Funding, Business Support Grants, Angel Investors as well as how to navigate financial support.

social enterprise: be the change 

Tues 7th March 2pm - 4.30pm

There are more than 100,000 social enterprises in the UK, contributing £60 billion to the economy and employing two million people. Social Enterprises offer a better approach to business, one that prioritises people and planet. At this event, presentations key note speakers Dave Linton, Madlug and Nigel Hampton, increadABLE will inspire and showcase how they are delivering change locally and across the UK and Ireland.

start up launch pad: success showcase & north west pitch competition 

Wednesday 8th March 9.30am - 4:30pm

Budding entrepreneurs from the North West will have the opportunity to take to the stage in front of industry experts and high-profile media from across Northern Ireland during this exciting pitching competition.  Up to 12 early-stage start-ups from across the council area will have the opportunity to compete for their share of the prize fund.  Apply now or register to attend at the event.
