Job Support

Do you need help looking for work or to retrain? Derry City and Strabane District Council support and part fund 5 local organisations who help people living within the Derry City and Strabane District Council area who meet one of the following criteria:

  • are unemployed (short and long term)
  • are economically inactive
  • are in work but want to work more hours
  • have a disability
  • are aged 16 to 24 years and not in education, employment or training.

These organisations help people move closer towards employment or retrain by, for example, giving them access to qualifications free of charge, assisting with CVs, applications and interviews and helping them overcome many and varied barriers to employment. They offer help and support across a wide range of sectors and welcome people to contact them with whatever job seeking questions or needs they may have.
