Consultation on Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) Documents

Further to the Latest News items on 10th July and 12th August 2025 (see below), the Council has now opened public consultation on 3 further Draft SPG documents, to support the implementation of the LDP. These 3 Draft documents are now available to view on the Council’s webpage – see the links below.
The Council will also be carrying out community engagement sessions on the Draft SPG documents in the coming weeks and the closing date for the consultation period will be determined and posted on this webpage following those sessions. Details of the venues and times of the community engagement sessions will be posted on this webpage, and stakeholders will be notified in advance.
Comments on any of the Draft SPG documents should be submitted in writing to the Council’s Strand Road office or email address: [email protected]
The first set of 15 Draft SPG documents were previously published for public consultation on 10th July 2025 (see documents below); a decision has been made to further extend the consultation period for those Draft SGP documents, so written comments on those 15 SPGs can also be submitted. The final closing date of the public consultation will be determined and published following the community engagement sessions.
The SPG consultation is a non-statutory consultation period and therefore the LDP Plan Strategy policies can continue to be applied in the absence of the finalised SPG documents, to support the implementation of the LDP Plan Strategy.
A further tranche of SPG documents will also be consulted-upon from December 2025, so please see this webpage for details at that time.
