St Patrick and Deputy Mayor of Derry and Strabane, Councillor Jason Barr, were the special guests as thousands of people lined the streets of Strabane on Sunday for the town’s annual parade. Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Councillor Patricia Logue, praised the community effort that went into a day to remember in the town. “Congratulations to all the community partners who worked with Council’s Festival and Events team to host a brilliant spectacle in Strabane on Sunday,” she said. “There’s a lot of unseen work that takes place behind the scenes to host an event of this magnitude and ensure everyone had a safe and enjoyable day. “The parade was a stunning spectacle and a brilliant opportunity for the young performers to showcase themselves in front of thousands of people”   Entertainment in the town centre on Sunday included music, drama and entertainment and the Alley Theatre hosted free family entertainment, arts and crafts.
