Alley Theatre Unveils Spectacular Autumn/Winter 2025 Programme

The curtain is set to rise on a spectacular season at the Alley Theatre, Strabane, as it proudly launches its Autumn/Winter 2025 programme — a jam-packed line-up of music, drama, comedy, and family fun that promises something special for everyone.

Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Cllr Ruairí McHugh, encouraged local people to take a look at the exciting range of events planned for the season ahead. He said: “I am delighted to see such an exciting and diverse range of events coming to the Alley Theatre. The theatre plays a vital role in providing arts and culture for the people of Strabane and beyond, and this programme truly highlights its importance as a hub for our community."

Among the key highlights of the programme are Taylor Swift Tribute: Swift Sensation, when music lovers can get ready to shake it off with this high-energy tribute. The show features live vocals, dazzling costumes, and "Eras Tour magic," making it a perfect night out for Swifties of all ages. Packed with sing-alongs and non-stop fun, it’s a celebration of her greatest hits, from "Love Story" to "Anti-Hero”.

Another much-anticipated performance set to take to the stage is Musical Theatre Open Mic Nights with a Twist - aimed at showcasing music from the stage and screen, these open mic nights will feature beautiful ensemble and solo numbers, along with special guests from other musical societies. Patrons can enjoy a relaxed cabaret style setting on three different evenings: October 10th, November 14th, and December 19th.

Other events of interest include The Dubliner: The Story of Luke Kelly, taking place on October 25th, acclaimed Dublin singer and multi-instrumentalist Chris Kavanagh will perform a 90-minute show with stunning visual backdrops to celebrate the legacy of folk legend Luke Kelly. The show has received glowing reviews and has had sell-out performances in other prestigious venues.

Looking towards Christmas, an event expected to attract a lot of interest is the Jack and the Beanstalk Panto when the award-winning pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, will come to the Alley Theatre to perform this original rags-to-riches story has been given a modern twist, promising a show filled with laughter, magic, mischief, and mayhem for the whole family.

Alley Theatre Manager, Louise Boyce said: "A lot of hard work has gone into getting the programme completed, and the team and I are really looking forward to welcoming people over the autumn and Winter to enjoy these wonderful acts after a really busy summer.
