Date set for international RegTech Conference

5 September 2023

Donegal County Council and Derry City and Strabane District Council will host an international conference in October aimed at developing a cross border international super cluster in regulatory technologies.

The conference, entitled ‘Navigating the Future of Regulation’, is being delivered as part of the Shared Island North West Regulatory Project led by Donegal County Council and Derry City and Strabane District Council in partnership with ATU and Catalyst.

Aimed at bringing policy makers, regulators and experts from around the world to discuss the future of regulation, the conference will actively look at ways in which the North West City region can collate and share data and work collectively to raise the profile of an international innovation super cluster.

The Conference will be held at the Atlantic Technological University (ATU) in Letterkenny on Wednesday 25 October and will feature speakers and panellists from a broad spectre of organisations and backgrounds.

Kevin O’Connor, Head of Business at Derry City and Strabane District Council, encouraging those with an interest in the future of regulation to register for the Conference, said it was a unique opportunity for businesses in the North West to explore how regulation can foster economic growth and promote public welfare, while also addressing serious challenges facing the region such as climate change, financial instability and cybersecurity.
