July Bank Holiday Opening Hours Information

Derry City and Strabane District Council have advised that there will be minimal disruption to Council services during the upcoming July Bank Holiday. 

Bin collection services will operate as normal as well as the Recycling Centre opening times, with the exception of one facility. Newtownstewart Recycling Centre will be closed on Monday 13th July, all other Recycling Centres will open as normal. 

Council offices in Derry will be closed on Monday 13th July while offices in Strabane will be closed on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th July.

Visitor Services including The Tower Museum and The Guildhall will be open as normal and welcoming guests over the weekend and on Bank Holiday Monday.

The Derry Registrar’s Office will be closed on Monday 13th July, while the Strabane office will be closed on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th July.

There will be some slight changes to Leisure Opening Hours on Sunday 12th July, which include:

• Open: Templemore Sports Complex and Brooke Park
• Closed: Riversdale Leisure Centre, Melvin Sports Complex, Derg Valley, Foyle Arena and Waterside Shared Village

Council owned leisure facilities will operate as normal on Monday 13th July.

All Council owned cemeteries, parks and greenways will be open as normal for the public to enjoy over the bank holiday weekend.
