Get Crafty at the Alley’s Easter Craft Workshops

The Alley Theatre has an ‘Eggtastic’ range of craft workshops coming up to keep little ones entertained over the Easter period.

The Alley Theatre has an ‘Eggtastic’ range of craft workshops coming up to keep little ones entertained over the Easter period.

Starting on Saturday 25th March, join Natasha Duddy to make some beautiful ‘Glass Easter Egg’ Decorations. Learn glass cutting and explore colour combinations through overlapping of glass colours, frits and stringers. A workshop opportunity with all safety wear and materials supplied. This workshop at 10.30am and is suitable for age 8yrs +.and costs £2.

On Easter Saturday 8th April, artist Angeline Beattie will be holding two workshops showing children how to make a colourful Easter Wreath using recycled materials, emphasizing the importance of recycling and the environment.  Workshops are at 10.30am and 11.40am and cost £3

Or if you want to create something a bit more monstrous, Bernie Wilson will also be at the Alley on Easter Saturday with her ‘Funky Frog’ clay making workshops at 10.30am and 11.40am. Suitable for 6 -11 years olds, children will explore and manipulate clay and create their very own ‘Funky Frog’ whilst learning the basic techniques of joining clay and forming a structure. This workshop is £3

Starting your first comic manga? Then join us on Thursday 13th April at 10.30am as artist Matthew O’Kane will be helping you dust up on your comic manga skills. This workshop will help readers understand character’s emotions, actions and the flow of your story. Suitable for age 8 +., this workshop lasts three hours and costs £10.

On Friday 14th April Shelia Byrne will be providing an opportunity to learn about this traditional craft and apply these weaving techniques to create an eco-friendly garden bird feeder that will be useful and enjoyed by local wildlife. Suitable for age 10 +, this workshop starts at 10.30am and lasts two hours. Cost £10.

Don’t miss our other fantastic Easter entertainment including Easter Cinema Day on Saturday 8th April with Peter Rabbit 2.  On Saturday 14th April, there will be two fantastic interactive shows: ‘Teddy’s Birthday’ suitable for 6 years and under and ‘Dr Dolittle’ suitable for 5 – 10 years olds.
