Job Seekers Encouraged to Explore Opportunities at Upcoming Cross Border Job Fair

7 September 2026

Job seekers from across the North West are being encouraged to attend the upcoming Derry and Strabane Cross Border Job Fair, where a wide range of employers will be showcasing current vacancies and career opportunities.

The event, hosted by the Department for Communities, Derry City and Strabane Labour Market Partnership and Cross Border Partnership Employment Services, will take place at the Ebrington Hotel, Derry, on Tuesday 8 September, and will bring together employers from a variety of sectors looking to recruit new talent.

Funded by the Department for Communities, Labour Market Partnerships create targeted employment action plans for council areas, allowing for collaboration at local and regional level to support people towards and into work.

Open to the public from 11am to 2pm, the Job Fair will provide an opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to meet employers directly, learn more about available roles and access support to help them take the next step in their career journey. A dedicated quiet time will be available from 10.30am to 11am, while British Sign Language (BSL) and Irish Sign Language (ISL) interpreters will be present from 10.30am to 12.30pm to support attendees.

Employers attending the event will be recruiting across a variety of sectors, offering opportunities for those seeking employment, considering a career change, returning to work or looking to develop new skills.

Admission is free and no booking is required.
