Mayor brings storytelling initiative to St Brigid’s Primary School
22 October 2026
The Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Cllr Grace Uí Niallais, visited pupils at St Brigid’s Primary School in Carnhill this week as part of her ongoing mayoral initiative to visit schools across the city and district.
The visit gave the Mayor the opportunity to spend time with young pupils, share stories and inspire a love of reading from an early age. Through these engaging sessions, the initiative aims to encourage children’s imagination, promote literacy and provide pupils with a fun opportunity to meet and interact with the Mayor.
