Mayor congratulates St Patrick's Primary School, Newtownstewart on Green Flag Status

Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Cllr Grace Uí Niallais, visited St Patrick's Primary School in Newtownstewart this week to congratulate them for achieving the amazing Green Flag Status.

Green Flag status is an international Eco-Schools accreditation that rewards primary schools for excellence in sustainability education and student-led environmental action. 

"I'd like to say a huge well done to everyone at St Patrick's Primary School for achieving their Green Flag status this year - what a brilliant achievement to kick off the new school year. Congratulations to all the teachers and pupils who have worked hard towards achieving this status. It is evident that sustainability and the environment around is a real priority at St Patrick's Primary School, and it's great to see such care and passion instilled in our young people. Keep up the brilliant work!"
