Mayor honours Tristar U13 Girls following Foyle Cup Success

The Mayor of Derry City and Strabane, Councillor Grace Uí Niallais, welcomed members of the Tristar U13 Girls team to a special reception at the Guildhall this week in recognition of their outstanding achievement in winning the U13 Foyle Cup during the summer.

The reception celebrated the team's sporting excellence and commitment throughout the tournament, with players, coaches and families coming together to mark their success. Mayor Uí Niallais presented Team Captain Alexandra Khaidukova with a commemorative crystal plaque in recognition of the team's impressive accomplishment.

Congratulating the squad and coaching team, led by Emmett Murphy, for their dedication and hard work, the Mayor said: “This is a fantastic achievement and one that everyone connected with the team should be incredibly proud of. Their talent, teamwork and determination have been evident throughout their journey, and I was delighted to recognise their success and celebrate this special milestone with them.”
