Mayor hosts Halloween Tea Dance at the Guildhall
27 October 2026
Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Councillor Grace Uí Niallais, has hosted her Mayor’s Halloween Tea Dance at the Guildhall.
The special seasonal celebration under Luke Jerram’s impressive artwork of planet Earth ‘Gaia’ brought members of the local community together for an afternoon filled with music, dancing and fancy dress.
Attendees were treated to live music by Hugh P and Maria, keeping the dance floor packed throughout the afternoon.
"It was wonderful to see the Main Hall filled with such energy, colour and fancy dress," said Mayor Uí Niallais.
“Events like these are a brilliant opportunity for our community to come together, share a dance and enjoy some festive fun all while supporting my charity Hive Cancer Support.
“Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a memorable afternoon."
The Mayor’s Tea Dance series will continue with upcoming seasonal events.
