Mayor launches new digital newsletter to keep residents connected
3 August 2026
The Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council is delighted to launch a brand-new digital newsletter for citizens, making it easier than ever to stay informed about everything happening across the city and district.
Launched by the Mayor this week, the digital newsletter will provide a round-up of the latest Council news, projects, upcoming events, community initiatives, funding opportunities, leisure updates and key services – all in one convenient place.
Titled ‘Your Derry Strabane’, the quarterly publication has been developed to ensure residents can quickly access the information that matters most to them, while also highlighting the exciting events, programmes and opportunities taking place across the Council area throughout the year.
Mayor of DCSDC, Councillor Grace Uí Niallais, said she was delighted to add this extra form of communication with residents and hoped they enjoyed the new publication.
"Our district is full of incredible activity, from major festivals and community events to investment projects, funding opportunities and initiatives that make a real difference to people's lives. This digital newsletter, Your Derry Strabane, is a fantastic way to bring all that information together in one place.
"It's a simple and accessible way to stay connected with what's happening across Derry and Strabane. I would encourage everyone to check it out and make sure they don't miss out on the latest news, important updates and exciting opportunities in our district."
The newsletter will be released quarterly and forms part of the Council's commitment to improving communication with residents and ensuring they have easy access to timely, relevant and engaging information throughout the year.
