Mayors Ball a huge success as Mayor extends to community for their support

The Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council Cllr Ruairí McHugh has hailed his Mayor’s Ball held on Friday night at the Guildhall as a fantastic success and thanking everyone who attended for their generosity and support.
The event brought together members of the local community, businesses, charities and civic representatives for a memorable night of celebration and fundraising in aid of the Mayor’s chosen charities – PIPS Suicide Prevention Charity and the Castlederg Patient Terminally Ill Comfort Fund.
The Mayor said he was overwhelmed by the support he received and delighted to see so many people come together for such worthwhile causes.
Mayor McHugh paid tribute to the Guildhall staff, the caterers and entertainment providers who ensured the guests had a great night from start to finish.
He said: “As my Mayoral year is almost coming to an end, the Mayor’s Ball was a great opportunity to celebrate all we have achieved together.”
