Millennium Forum donation to Mayor’s Charity

Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Councillor Ruairí McHugh, this week received a generous donation of £11,350.40 to his Mayor’s Charity from the Millennium Forum.
The cheque was formally presented by representatives of the Millennium Forum, with the total raised through voluntary contributions from theatre-goers during the venue’s recent pantomime season.
Speaking following the presentation, Mayor McHugh said he was deeply grateful for the support shown by both the venue and the public. He said: “I want to thank the Millennium Forum team and everyone who contributed so generously during the pantomime season. This remarkable sum reflects the kindness and community spirit that exists right across our district.”
The Mayor’s Charities this year are PIPS Suicide Prevention Derry and the Castlederg Patient and Terminally Ill Comfort Fund.
