Preferred Options Paper & Associated Assessments for LDP 2032 Plan Strategy Revision - Policy HOU 13 - HMO Management Areas
Derry City & Strabane District Council adopted its LDP Plan Strategy in July 2025. The Council now proposes to undertake a Revision to the LDP Plan Strategy, in accordance with powers under Section 14(1) and 14(3) of the Planning Act (NI) 2011. The proposed Revision will amend the policy for Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs).
To that end a Preferred Options Paper and associated assessments: Sustainability Appraisal (incl. Strategic Environmental Assessment); Habitats Regulation Assessment; Rural Needs Impact Assessment and Equality Impact Assessments, have been prepared for public consultation and are available to view at the following links

Revised LDP Timetable and Plan Strategy Revision Timetable
Derry City and Strabane Council has revised its LDP 2032 Timetable. The latest revision sets out the updated indicative timescales for the preparation and adoption of the draft Local Policies Plan is available to view at the following link
A timetable has also been prepared for the LDP 2032 Plan Strategy Revision (PS-R) of Policy HOU 13 - HMO Management Areas. It is intended that the revision will run in parallel with the dLPP process, therefore, both timetables must be read in conjunction. The PS-R timetable is available to view here:
