TRANSLINK LAUNCH GAA SEMI FINAL BUS AND RAIL SERVICES

5 July 2023

Following the sell-out success of recent quarter final bus and rail specials, Translink has announced that it will operate special services to help fans travelling to the GAA All Ireland Semi Final game between Derry and Kerry on Sunday 16th July at Dublin’s Croke Park.

A bus will depart from Foyle Street Bus Centre at 9.30am, calling at Dungiven and Maghera, whilst a special train from the North West Transport Hub will also run, departing at 08.25am.

Speaking about the popular event services, David Cowan, Director of Commercial Operations at Translink, said: “With large numbers of fans keen to travel for this high-profile semi-final game, we’re pleased to confirm details of additional bus and rail services to help facilitate safe and hassle-free travel.”

He added, “All tickets can be booked online in advance and in order to manage capacity, we would stress that passengers must travel on the specific service they have booked for to ensure everyone travels home safely.”

Tickets are available online only at www.translink.co.uk/events. Meanwhile fans travelling from Belfast can benefit from additional cross border services recently added to the timetable which are available via usual online booking methods.

All services operate a strict no smoking and no alcohol policy.
