The aim of the fund is to provide talented athletes with financial assistance to help cover the cost of travel to organised competitive events for which competitors have qualified at County, Provincial, National or International level.
This bursary is to cater for those athletes whose competition falls outside of our current grant aid call.
Funding will be allocated uder a tiered system relevant to location of competition:
- Tier 1 International- Outside United Kingdom & Republic of Ireland
- Tier 2 National- England, Scotland, Wales & Republic of Ireland (excluding counties Donegal, Cavan & Monaghan)
- Tier 3 Provincial- Ulster
Individuals can apply for support up to 50% of eligible costs, nd up to a maximum of:
- Tier 1- £400
- Tier 2- £300
- Tier 3- £200
The bursary will cover project specific costs associated with travel. Please note that only costs incurred by the athlete(s) competing will be eligible.
