Dan O'Neill

Dan grew up fishing the small rivers of southern Ireland and eventually progressed onto the larger rivers of Ireland. Dan began guiding at the age of 14 Specialising in guiding on the fly for Trout,Salmon,Pike,perch and rainbow trout, managing a fishery on the famous Mount Juliet Estate in County Kilkenny where he takes guests on to the R.Nore fly fishing. He has ambassador roles with companies such as Cadence fly fishing, yeti, fulling mill and holds a casting qualification with APGAI – IRE in single handed casting aswell as being a part of the Irish fly fair team where he is assistant casting manager. He works with the Irish ladies fly fishing association as lead instructor on open days for ladies who would like to get involved in fly fishing. Dan also has many nymph patterns that he uses for Brown trout, these patterns are ones he thought up himself and is looking forward to sharing some of them with you at the fair.
