Access All Areas
Date: 22 September 2025 - 23 September 2025
Venue: Millennium Forum, Newmarket Street, Derry, Derry, BT48 6EB
Enjoy music, song, dance and drama featuring Brian Friel's 'Lovers: Winners and Losers'; Seamus Heaney's beloved poem 'Digging'; Amelia Earhart's historic flight landing; piano recitals of Joseph Locke's 'Hear My Song'; and our very own 'Derry Girls' - Stage Beyond style! There will be two family-friendly performances at 11am and 1.30pm (approx. 40 minutes) running each day on September 22nd and 23rd as part of the Access All Areas festival of inclusion and accessibility led by Stage Beyond which aims to reach those who are not usually included or find it difficult to access arts and culture events in their communities.
Stage Beyond invites the public to join the award-winning local theatre ensemble for a series of inclusive promenade performances at the Millennium Forum, celebrating North West legends past and present.
The two-day event is supported by Derry City and Strabane District Council's Community Festival Fund 2025-2026. Access All Areas is a festival of cultural inclusion throughout the DCSDC area exploring the artistic legacy of our city and its hinterland.
Promenade performances involve audiences moving from place to place following the actors and performance. This will be a truly immersive and interactive experience for audiences and performers.
The festival aligns with DSCDC's Disability Scheme and Action Plan which is committed to working to promote positive attitudes and to encourage participation by disabled people in public life and across our communities by creating accessible and user-friendly environments for everyone to enjoy.
