Christmas Film Screenings at St Columb's Cathedral

Experience the magic of Christmas at St Columb's Cathedral this December, as part of the annual Christmas Tree Festival — now among the highlights of the festive season in the city.

This year's festival will once again transform the Cathedral with a stunning display of bespoke Christmas trees, handcrafted dioramas, and vintage toys, created by local charities, schools, sports clubs, community groups, and businesses — a true celebration of the city's creativity.

Amid the festive surroundings, audiences can enjoy two timeless Christmas films on the big screen:

Miracle on 34th Street – Friday 12 December, 7pm
Home Alone – Saturday 13 December, 4pm

Note: tickets are only available via the Nerve Centre website, no cash on door.

Home Alone
Saturday 13 December, 4pm

Eight-year-old Kevin McCallister has become the man of the house, overnight! Accidentally left behind when his family rushes off on a Christmas vacation, Kevin gets busy decorating the house for the holidays. But he's not decking the halls with tinsel and holly. Two bumbling burglars are trying to break in, and Kevin's rigging a bewildering battery of booby traps to welcome them!
